November 4, 2014

A haven of natural beauty within the bustle of city life, we found ourselves walking along the path of the infamous Cheonggyecheon Stream.
Cheonggyecheon Stream passes close to Deoksugung Palace, Seoul Plaza, the Sejong Center, Insa-dong Street, Changdeokgung Palace, and Changgyeonggung Palace, allowing visitors to easily visit major tourist sites after a leisurely stroll along the stream. (taken from english.visitkorea.co.kr)

Whilst we were their preparations for the awaited Seoul Lantern Festival was in process. Such colorful decorations consisting of famous characters, symbols, among others.

Capping off our Seoul cultured day was walking along 5.5 kilometers of a stream showed us to Seouls different city areas. Ranging from the sky high glass buildings, to urban vintage looking Seoul marketplaces. Even realizing we were standing by the place where the drama series Smile, You was shot!

Walking along Seoul may be tiring, but it is one of the many things I loved about our stay. Here's to more long walks along the city of Seoul in the future!
