Hong Kong Travel Diary 2014 - Day 3 - Hong Kong Disneyland

I never thought it would be like this. The characters that made up my childhood came to life, even for just one day.
After a long and excruciating city tour, we finally found ourselves entering the gates of Hong Kong Disneyland. I have no idea what to expect, to be honest. I've never been to a "Disneyland" before. All I know is that it's the happiest place on earth, and that's most probably it.
Blown away with everything I've read from the night before, I found myself skipping towards the places I wanted to visit the most.
The Main Street, though ruined by the amount of people, gave me all the right feels. The bakeries and shops looks so adorable, I could just live there. Everything was thoughtfully done. I have no words. But then again, Hong Kong Disneyland was packed with people. I felt so claustrophobic just entering the place.
Fantasyland, probably the most populated area out of all, was filled with children channeling their inner Ana or Elsa. I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I hoped for, but it was nice to see families enjoying their little stroll amidst the sea of people coming in and out.
The Turkey Legs that I've been wanting to try was regretfully of small size in Hong Kong Disneyland. so we just stopped by the Grizzly Gulch corner, wherein we ate nuggets and chips.
Going back to the fact the whole place was packed, we weren't able to ride the rides we really long for. But thankfully, I checked one off my list, which was the Mystic Manor. Which I really definitely and genuinely enjoyed so much. From the awesome effects to the out of this world things that happened inside the ride.
As the night falls, it's time for the annual Paint the Night parade, where the whole park turns dark as kids and adults enjoy the magical lights and sounds.
Though it wasn't as satisfying as I hoped it to be, Disneyland Hong Kong left me with good memories. Even made me tear up when I heard the Chinese rendition of Jonas Brothers' Fly With Me during the afternoon parade.
It saddened me that it was filled with so much people, not that I'm expecting it to be empty, but I should probably reserve what I thought with most of its visitors.
Then again, it left me smiling and bewildered from day to night, thank you Hong Kong Disneyland.
