2015: June Favorites
Wednesday, July 08, 2015
and that mattered to me this past month.
Here's my June 2015 favorites:
I just want to make nice things.
(And get enough sleep.)
Pencil Case from the Happy Project
You might have seen this little gem from previous blog posts. I just adore it to bits. As much as I want to keep things a minimal, when it comes to carrying writing tools, I can't help it you know. I love taking down notes in a color coded manner. You can't blame me for that. And this cute case is a perfect size that fits all my pens, markers, brush pens and even my erasers. I bought this at the Happy Project booth during the Global Pinoy Bazaar(post coming up soon!). And boy, if only I have no limited budget that day, I would have bought everything!

Warm and Cozy - 2015 Korean Drama
Where do I even begin? As much as I want to point at the skies for undeniably frustrating flaws, I felt the need to say it's a drama that I can't help but love and adore. A week will not be a week for me if not for this drama. It's also the this year's drama that I decided to watch intently each and every week for this year. Since I tend to binge watch dramas. It's so easy to watch. It's so light, funny, and most of all, warm and cozy.
There is no denying as to why I have watch this drama, it all boils down to the fact that Yoo Yeon Seok is involved. Yoo Yeon Seok, or Ultimate Oppa as I would always call him is just amazing in this drama. He and Kang Sora gave this drama justice. They carried it all the way to the end, and I'm just hands down to that fact.
Work Backpack
Since I started with my new venture, I also found myself leaning towards comfort, and I guess, practicality(?). As much as I want to use my hand bag I adore so much, I felt the need to use a bag that could like fit everything and is not tiring to carry around. So... I ended up using this beauty instead.
Dr. Kim Seokjin
for BTS(방탄소년단)'s 쩔어 Concept
If I do a write up for this, I could've beaten Wikipedia in terms of quantity of pages. So I'll let Seokjin's existence, and the fact that this happened, help you realize why it's listed as one of my favorites for this month of June.for BTS(방탄소년단)'s 쩔어 Concept
Liquid Pen Eyeliners
Creer Beaute Miracle Romance Sailor Moon Eyeliner which I bought from Hong Kong
Perfect Eyes Long Kinny Gel Pen Liner from Tony Moly
In the efforts to look acceptable whenever I go out of the house, I figured to make a drastic change and venture out on using eyeliners. I never am a makeup expert, or anything like that. I much prefer to not put anything at all, but this month it's been such a journey with practicing constantly on lining my eyes.
Mind you, I'm not even at the flick-cat eye level. I just simply line my eyes. Which I find convenient. That recently, I feel like I can't face people if I don't line my eyes, for the reason that I feel more confident-ish with them on... since I feel and look(?) presentable.
I started out with the cutest, but unfortunately came in a really pink packaging - which is the Sailor Moon eyeliner. It has no staying power at all, you can wipe it off in one go. But I like how it is appropriate for practicing girl-in-the-making person like me, since you can correct your mistakes. And it's cute. Eventually, I decided to get myself one of those waterproof ones that is a pain in the ass to remove, which lead us to the Tony Moly's Perfect Eyes Long Kinny Gel Pen Liner. I was actually supposed to buy the Dolly Pink ones, but I am not ready to splurge that much on makeup, so... I went to the alternative route, and I'm pretty much satisfied.
Lip Stuff
Tea Rose Matte Lipstick from NYX and Ate Anne
Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me in Naughty and Nice
Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes
Banila Co. I Heart SEOUL in Garosu-Gil from Ate Anne
Speaking of the continuous effort to look acceptable, yes... lip stuff. Blame Ate Anne for introducing me that these stuff exists. Recently I have been experimenting on doing the Korean gradient lip trend, which is so fun to play with. These four, though not so great with their staying power, was good enough for me to mix and match with. I especially adored the Garosu-gil this month. It's definitely a new color for me, but it works. And I especially want to thank Ate Anne for it!
Face... thing.
High Lighter beam from the Face Shop
I have had this bad boy since last year, but have found myself have been using this much frequently than before.
My Thank You Diary
Notebook Given by Ate Anne
I started the month of June by listing out thinks I am thankful for each day. It may not be much, but it's enough for me to reflect amidst my starting-to-get busy schedule.
Notes to Self - Blog Notebook
Notes to Self Notebook from Ella Llama Doodles and Lettering
Isn't it preeeeettty? Ack. I just love everything about this notebook. The moment I laid eyes on it, I just had to buy it no matter what. And voila! Here's the birth of my blog notebook, where I put in my daily logs for What Jiwo Did..., list my monthly favorites, draft posts and all that jazz. I felt that I needed one, and at the same time, I just needed a reason to use this notebook in an instant. What can I do? It looks so amazing. I recently covered it in plastic as well, to protect it's amazing-ness. And because I'm OCD like that.

Ice Blue Lemonade
by Pop & Cafe from Ate Anne
DAMN YOU ATE ANNE FOR ONLY GIVING ME ONE.
Notice to anyone residing and/or planning to go to Korea.
GIVE MEEEE THISSSSS!
Aquasorb Headband
Just something I needed when washing my face.
The search for the perfect face washing headband is over! I really love this headband. For the reason that it doesn't go all loose on me. It also dries quickly, and just tucks away all hair from my face whenever I remove my makeup and wash. One issue I have with it is that my dog likes how it looks, that I can't put it away just anywhere because he might reach out and treats it like some chew toy. But overall, with the price of PHP 99, it's so worth it.
The Calix Cord Burrito
from AdoraBella
Call me dramatic, but this literally made me everything so easy for me since I got it. It's everything a very mess-paranoid person like me needed. I have this issue with messy electronic things, how they're being kept, and their ability to be such pain in the a. This chord burrito literally got that weight off of my shoulders in an instant. I feel more organized. It's not much easier to breath. And I'm not stressing that much on how to keep things in place. It's best. Amazing. AMAZING!

Birth Year Necklace
from Mom, bought from Hong Kong
I have struggled with finding the perfect everyday necklace that I could just put on without minding the fact that it could melt or irritate my skin. And thankfully, Mom bought my sister and I birth year necklaces during our Hong Kong trip. So I gave it a chance, and the next thing I know, I never go out without it with me.
Markers
All markers in general, I four sets in use.
Because when it comes to taking notes, markers are handy too.
Chocolate Frosted Donuts
from Dunkin Donuts
I can't help but crave for this classic baby, blame the fact that my way home route passes by the donut factory.
Jiwo
My cute, grumpy, little Wolf.
What Jiwo Did... is back on track ya'll!
Mornings with Loki
because he clingy.
This precious, little, naughty boy makes me feel at ease. Since he came to my life, I just felt like I have someone to take care of and chase my worries away. He's currently in his rebel stage right now, so it's kind of frustrating at times. But his goodbye kisses before I go to work makes everything alright for me.
Oh Honey
Sugar You - Oh Honey
I would like to thank that brainstorming weekend morning for work, because I got the chance to watch Oh Honey's Music Video on TV.
BTS(방탄소년단)'s "쩔어" Music Video
BTS - Dope Music Video
My monthly favorites won't be complete without a Bangtan music video. I was never really a fan of their I NEED U era, and this definitely brought back all those lost feels(If there were really lost to begin with). I'm still recovering from the whole Doctor Seokjin concept up to now... and that says alot, I guess. And Dope is one of my favorite tracks from the mini album, making me more hyped up about this era.
