Talk About A Vacation
Last day of May, 2014. We needed a break. And a remote
island without electricity, phone service or wifi is what we all needed.
We have a big van, along with us came my mom, my sister, and
my mom’s friend. It was a long trip to our destination, we decided to leave at
night In order to get to the tour call time. Never have I ever done such a long
ride across Luzon before. If I have, it never felt as fun and secure as this. I
was with the people I would gladly spend my lifetime with, like… what else do I
need?
After the meet up in the stop, we were on the way to the
port in order to ride boats that will take us to the island of Calaguas. I felt
worrisome for a while, for the view whilst on the boat is a view of a vast body
of water. We could drown and stuff like that. I know. As we approach the shore,
I see white sand and clear water. Sadly a number of boats and people as well.
But it’s all manageable. We’ve arrived!
The sun was so hot. Damn you, Summer. And your temperament.
We found ourselves walking around, lying around on the sand,
as well as judging the resident DJ’s playlist. I went all overboard with
snorkeling by the shore. All is good. I needed this. We needed this. Despite
the lack of hygienic facilities, all is manageable.
Everything was picturesque as well, so there are no regrets.
We went home with obvious tans, salty beach smell and memories to keep.
The ride is long, yet it felt so short. I guess it’s true
when one says – if you want to know somebody, go on a trip with that somebody. The
whole trip, and its aftermath will be the indicator that will determine that
person’s status in your life. And I am glad to have spent this trip with them,
I can’t even think of anyone to spend the last day of May 2014 with.
