The Best Birthday You've Had

I love birthdays. A day that could actually, in reality, last for a month. A celebration of life. Another chapter. An addition to the number you once had last year.


Rather than talking about a the best birthday I've had, for I feel like I have 22 to choose from, and all of them differ from the other. Let me tell you about a birthday memory.

I was in high school at that time. I was a closet rebel. And I did things way so extravagant back then, it makes me cringe thinking about it now. I decided to treat my friends to an amusement for my birthday. I was also in this SOME (A famous Korean term. somewhat like seeing someone, rightfully depicts an ambiguous relationship between two people where there is something going on, but neither of the participants know what that something is.) relationship at that time, and so I invited that guy as well.

On the date of the the amusement park celebration, that SOME guy was not able to make it. But we proceeded anyway. I remember riding the anchor ride, the roller coaster, and even these adventure dune buggies.

One part that stick on that day, since I felt particularly lonely, because that SOME guy did not show up... I was with a friend of mine, in line for this log-water slide ride. And the next thing I know out of shock from the push of the log ride, I shouted "MAHAL KITA! (I love you)" whilst we slide down. Which was incredibly stupid. /facepalms on past self.

I was honestly planning on writing about this Korea trip I've had last year, but that was that one memory that stuck on me whilst thinking of what to say. Oh past Laline, I have no word for you. But one thing is for sure, this recent Laline is trying. Trying to be better. As well is trying to be braver. You may have been hurt so much there in your timeline, but don't worry, it gets better.
