The Seoul Food Diary: Day 3 – Coffee Chu

November 1, 2014
It’s impossible to walk around any Seoul neighborhood without
running into a coffee shop. A mix of good
food, creative interiors and everything indescribably cute, I was sold.
Sinsa-dong Garosu-gil is one of the places I've been to that I see myself coming back to, again and again, and again (forever). Well known for its “garosu-gils(tree-lined streets)”, Garosu-gil
gave me both fear and happiness whilst roaming around it’s indescribably
beautiful area. It felt as if I’m in New York’s Soho area once again. Someone please teleport me back to Seoul.
Hunger struck, and we found ourselves in Coffee Chu.
Coffee Chu is an eye-catching café located in one of
Garosu-gil’s alleys (opposite Buccella
Sandwich – which I promise myself to come back to try and come back to.)
The café is a neutral looking gem with cute interior that
goes together, it made my heart skip a beat.
We found ourselves sitting by the little fresco area
complete with fake grass, and easy access for hip people watching.
I find it so amusing that the place is apparently famous for its Churros. But since we were aiming for a proper brunch, we got a sandwich and a lemonade slush.
You can find Coffee Chu at Seoul Building 535-23, Namhye,
Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu. Coffee Chu currently has 7 outlets in Seoul,
including this outlet at Garosu-gil.
