Seoul Diary 2014: Day 3 - Garosu-gil
Wednesday, November 19, 2014November 1, 2014
Known for it's magnificent looking tree-lined streets, hip culture, and energy, Garosu-gil was such an experience.
I honestly don't know where to start. My love for this area of Seoul is just too much for me to actually drabble about.
An array of open studios, ateliers, cafes, restaurants, bars, fashion shops, and prop shops blend together for a chic cityscape. Grosu-gil presents a fascinating dichotomy of the old and the new, the coolness of modern city life and the warmth of the days gone by. (Taken from: english.visitkorea.or.kr)
Garosu-gil is such an endearing mix of everything inspiring.
And don't even get me started with the crowd! If you like to occasionally go people watching, it's the place to be. Everyone literally looks like a model, and that is no exaggeration. I remember we spent an hour or two during brunch, just because the people passing by looks incredibly, and undeniably hip and chic.
The whole area was like a breath of fresh air. An escape from the crowd. A refreshing perspective to all senses.
I really loved this moment wherein Mona and I were just walking around and we here this beautiful music playing somewhere, we followed it with curiosity and astonishment, then we ended up seeing this amazing band playing for the crowd.
Everyone was so into it. They were cheering and smiling, it was such a delightful thing to be a part of.
Garosu-gil left a mark in my heart that I will always reminisce. It was that memorable for me. It's that kind of place where you picture yourself walking around with your friends, lover and future family. Oh Garosu-gil, what have you done to me?
P.S. Obligatory pretty plants post~
