You Who Came From The Stars Exhibit - Out of Seoul Diary: Day 5
Thursday, November 27, 2014November 3, 2014
Yes, you read that right... the SBS Drama Special Exhibition is now located within the Gyeonggi Province Area, hours away from the Dongdaemun Design Plaza where it was once been held.
You can still go to DDP to have a shuttle bus take you to the new location of the exhibit. Or if you're like us with limited time and budget, as well as a Bangtan fansign to attend to on the day you're supposed to go to the exhibit, you can just ride the train (for a couple of hours.) and walk(miles and miles) your way to the Kintex exhibition site.
One thing is for sure, we should've calculated the number of steps we did for this day. Because that was one heck of a walk! But it was one good walk, for sure. The Ilsan area of Goyang was such a delight, for the fall colors are very evident wherever you look.
Everything was just beyond what I expected it to be. It felt as if I was walking along such precious memories from something I have faithfully witnessed for months. Walking with my jaw dropped, I was this close to not moving. Everything was meticulously arranged. Proving that this one series made such an impact not only in Korea but also to others across the globe.
This iconic library, wherein Do Min Joon himself makes his video logs, made my knees weak. Just standing in front of that area was such winner moment for me. I seriously loved how every small detail was put thought into. It's like I could live there forever and I'm not going to even complain. It was that amazing for me. I didn't get to step inside/behind the chair, for the reason that I felt like I was not worthy to step inside the "library", but that's just me.
One thing that left me breathless was Cheon Song-yi's unit. Every corner just screams chic, sophisticated and CHEON SONG YI, CHEON SONG YI, CHEON SONG YI! It was so familiar, yet still breathtaking at the same time. (Note to future husband... this could be one of the interior designs that I'm considering. Yes.)
Amidst all the epic, amazing, heart wrenching things that was inside the exhibit, the most memorable for me was the end gallery. Wherein there's a collection of the drama's best moments. And my favorite corner would be that sweet, innocent frozen lake kiss. I should tell you that I was this close to bringing those photos home for myself, yes.
Overall, the You Who Came From the Stars exhibit was such a delight for everyone who was touched by the series. A trip down the memory lane, as they call it. Props to the very enthusiastic to help staff who was with us the whole time, you made our experience very, very, very, and again, very interesting.
P.S. For our dearest Eomma, we left a mark for you. Come and visit our Appa's haven before the exhibit ends! With love, your babies.

That was what I felt, the restrictions somehow have a point, but yeah. It made me feel like I spent more than what I could've paid for.
