Seoul Diary 2014: Day 2 – The Rubber Duck Project

October 31, 2014

As I walk on the streets filled with crunchy autumn leaves, I found myself in such a bliss. Never have I ever loved such a season. Never have I ever thought I’ll get to breath in autumn in person.

Then, there it was. It was round, yellow, and floating.

I saw it from afar, and boy… if only I could run and hug it so tight, I would.

The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, it doesn't discriminate people and doesn't have a political connotation. The friendly, floating Rubber Duck has healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them. The rubber duck is soft, friendly and suitable for all ages! (Taken from Florentijn Hofman’s website)

I finally met the good ol’ rubber duck that I've been fantasizing on seeing for years, and in my favorite place/city/country on earth at that.

The duck will be on display from the 14th of October to November 14th by the Seokchon Lake Park, across the new Lotte Mall.

P.S. Everyone’s favorite little penguin wants some lovin’ too!
