Done Watching, 2017: August

Now here is everything I watched for the month of August(it's late, I know!):
- The contents of this post are arranged by order of when I finished watching said show or film. -
I honestly wasn't really planning on watching this show, but seeing it on my twitter timeline, I decided to give this show a try.
I love the colors of this show, though can be sometimes dull. The overall look of this show makes me happy, especially most shots that were used and done(pretty food shots as well!). Not to mention the really interesting characters in it as well. And the friendship between the leads is really quirky. I had a good laugh. And given my nature, a fair share of heartaches caused by shipping a surefire sinking ship:
Overall I had fun, though sometimes the story feels a bit scattered due to many stuff happening with the four leads. But the cute friendship and the overall look gave me the patience to even finish it.
Would recommend if you are looking for something quirky and out there.
I watched this one with my sister, and the first episode got me excited! Not because of what it is about, but because most of the filming locations they used are familiar to me, given that I've been to some of the places they used in the drama.
Moving on to the drama, if I'll describe briefly - it was alright. I'm still in a Korean drama slump that I don't really care much or pay attention to whatever was happening. Like I get the troubles of the leads and what led to the turnout for them in the end, but I just can't get myself into it. There were very swoony moments for the lead couple, but I'm not like totally swayed by them. But most moments look good enough for me to have a gif-making spree.
Most people I know liked it, so I guess it's just me and my thing with Korean dramas these days. But since Kim Ji Won and Park Seo Joon did a great job (also because of that heart-stopping moment from the gif above) - I still would recommend it.
Let's be real here, the movie as a whole is not even that life-changing - but Yuto and Yuko's chemistry is. It all started with the behind the scenes, interviews, and magazine shoots - I got a teeny bit obsessed with the two of them together, and finally watching the movie was a cherry on top.
I still adored the movie though, it's the kind where you listen to conversations. Most of my investment roots from the fact that I love the two of them. And I feel like this is a great start for them as a fair, and I hope that they'll team up again.
I just watched this because of the dog(and Lieutenant Puppy Zhang).
This one is not even that good or astonishing, to begin with - so I'm not really going to elaborate on this(though I really like Raf Simmons). The ones who should be highlighted (for me) is the atelier side, for they are the real heroes.
I only watched this so that I could warm up to Nakagawa Taishi, as he has so many stuff coming up. I really wanted to remove him from being the guy who looks like Fukushi Sota image - since we all know Fukushi Sota is a disaster in anything he's in.
Going back, being familiar with the story(as I am a fan of Arashi's Nino and he did the first one) - this was cute during the start. But as the show progresses, it just gets weirder and weirder to the point that it kinda got annoying. But at least, Taishi isn't that bad as Sota - so I guess that's a good thing(?).
Well, this one's a delight! A drama about a girl who LOOOOOVES ramen, like passionately and forreal loves it. And with that said, I kinda hoped it would be longer. But I also understand why it's not that long. I hate the stalker girl who follows her around, but besides that, I really loved the concept of the show. Especially the fact that they feature real ramen shops as well.
This is not technically a drama, it's a special from one episode of Monsta X-Ray. But since I love the boys, we'll just make it as an exception. It's just a whole episode of parodies, though. So there wasn't really a flow. And since Wonho was feeling kinda of under the weather around this was shot - he didn't really anyone relevant in this as well. But what I love is the fact that we saw two sides of Hyungwon, and I won't spoil that for you.
I'm not really sure why I got this in my harddrive, but I finished it anyway - since I'm still not in the mood to watch anything Korean. With that said, this was kind of dark - but I liked it. It kinda got under my skin, but given the good flow and great acting - I don't have any complains. Mackenyu being in this is a plus as well.
Well... I didn't expect I'll end up liking this show. I remember watching this before and got really tired of it because I saw the actress I'm not particularly comfortable watching. But with my second watch, since I'm just distracting myself and not even giving any Korean shows a chance - I decided to give this show a chance.
And damn, this got so deep. So real. So heartbreaking. I didn't even skip any scenes. I thought I'll be in this for Masahiro - but no, it was the women of the show that made it work, and that was beautiful.
I closed the month of August with this SP Remake. At first, I was experiencing kind of a Deja Vu as I watched it since it felt really familiar, then I realized I watched the same thing with Arashi's Jun Matsumoto as the lead. And yes, I actually found out it was the remake after I watched the whole thing.
It was alright, Yamada Yuki was delightful in this even though he didn't really do much.

I know this is late, but what's the show/movie/drama you loved in the month of August? What do you think of the stuff I've watched? I'd like to know your thoughts.
Also, I'm currently uploading the stuff on iamdonewatching.tumblr.com (screencaps, gifs and stuff) since I need diskspace, so you could check that out as well!
