BTS (방탄소년단): Season's Greetings 2017

Thursday, May 25, 2017

Well, this post took a long while. We are already nearing the end of the first half of the year and here I am only posting my review for the 2017 Season’s Greetings just now.

I blame my lazy self for the most part (and the fact that I’m not really satisfied with this product as a whole for the latter, which we’ll maybe dive into a bit later).

This is the third edition of the Season’s Greetings BTS had released, and the third one in my collection - and would probably be my least favorite.

You can read my previous Seasons Greetings posts here and here

As for the basics, the set includes the following:

1) 2017 CALENDAR
2) 2017 PLANNER
3) A DVD with a 70-minute video of the mini sports event and SEASON'S GREETING photo shoot (Which I probably will not watch in a million years, again.)
4) A CALENDAR STAND
5) HANDWRITTEN NEW YEAR'S GREETING CARD from BTS to dear A.R.M.Y!
6) STICKERS consisting of name tags, graphics, and photos for decorating your mini locker in your own style.
7) Random PHOTO CARD. (I got Yoongi, AGAIN.)
8) A KEY RING in the BTS mini sports event uniform style.

I’m not particularly excited about this one. The fact that I never liked blonde on Seokjin is a huge factor. Petty, I know. But despite that - he still managed to look so good, so all is fine again.

They had this colorfully styled street clothes apart from the school uniform concept which confuses me. Because it was kind of out of nowhere - given the whole school/locker them of the package. And I wish for it to not exist, in all honesty.

Don’t even get me started on the weird placings of the members within the months of the year - which is a thing I also had a huge problem with, because of course - I’m petty.

My favorite photo goes to... no surprise here, YOONGI's. He also got the month placing right - which is also a plus!

But overall, it’s a decent Calendar despite my excessive petty whining. It’s better than most released calendars, so who am I to complain? (I just hope they step up next year since I really want a Season's Greetings that I fully love a whole)

This would probably the item that I’m all excited about. It’s a planner and photobook in one - what is there to complain about?!

The boohoo is on me since I find it too pretty to use. So yeah, it's just going to be kept in a box like the previous two.

After two Season’s Greetings, it is an expected fact that I’ll love it for sure. From the details to the photos.

Yeah, all is definitely good for me.

Like most of the DVDs that came with whatever merchandise since the first Summer Package, I probably won't watch it.

As for the calendar stand that comes in locker for - you could say it's a cute concept. It really made me excited the first time I got it. But then as time goes by, it just feels so bulky for storage. I still am biased with the Kingsman Theme they pulled off last year.

Like any other Bangtan stuff I purchased, I always get the Yoongi photocard. I'm not really surprised at this point.

The card this year, is a whole new level of cute with just the boys sitting by a board. I feel like it's the appropriate theme of the whole thing (If only they stayed with that concept all throughout, it could've been nice.).

There's not much of it, but it was a cute addition to the package. It is appropriately placed in the box as if it was like a uniform hanging in the "locker".

Lastly, like every merchandise review I've done, I would like to admire the fact that despite my complaints - one thing is definitely consistent: it's that they never forget what made everything possible - A.R.M.Y.

It's that one thing I always look forward to in every purchase, and I'm glad to see it consistently being done and never forgotten.

    1. Hello Angel!

I use a Canon EOS 60D - I have a 50mm, 18-50mm, and 70-300mm lens to go with it. But I use the 50mm most of the time.

Thank you for such kind words! (Also, Bangtan did all the work on those photos. They look great however you shoot them. Heeehee~) ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
