January 23, 2016

Oh, Yes! Magazine. You almost had me. ALMOST. Then you went too showbiz for your own damn good.

Boasting a very bright and happy 2-cover Special Collector's Issue, Yes! Magazine welcomed the year featuring the always amazing team of James and Nadine. With 160 photos promised, who doesn't want that?

But you know, purchasing for the sake of showing love can be so damn hard sometimes, and Yes! Magazine adds to that point. Packed with the stories, honest to goodness interviews as well as a ton of photos. This Yes! cover story had the making of a great feature for every JaDine and OTWOListas alike.

But with its "entertainment" magazine nature, some things just can't be helped(I guess.).

The beginning part of this feature was so promising. Then everything just went downhill when a certain issue was brought up. With Yes! claiming that it was a fact based from their said "sources".

I'm not one interested with any local celebrities' personal lives' including the ones I admire. But that one move just ruined everything. How can one claim it to be "Collector's Issue" if you just end up speculating shit about an actor's relationship? I actually stopped reading the whole thing after. It was just sick and unprofessional. It's not just worth it.

The layouts were nice. Though the two weren't together, they stood out - together(even if it's obviously edited.) and individually. Which JaDine is really good at.

Like their December Startudio 2015 feature, I have issues with James' photos for this one as well. It could be just me nitpicking a tabloid magazine's way of dealing with features. But there is something about James' photos that really makes me feel nothing. Or sometimes they lack something. Nadine as always, looked stunning.

When you think about it, this whole Yes! special, felt as if it was really caring and loving towards Nadine, but indifferent towards James. But again, that's just me over analyzing a tabloid magazine's feature.

Even though it's JaDine, I'm not gonna urge anyone to actually to buy this magazine. There are just some things that could be just ignored even though it looks good. And this Yes! issue is one of it. Talking baseless shit about someone is just not nice, and this magazine did that. But it's all up to you. You can just buy it for the photos.
