Push by BJ Pascual: Muses, Mischief & How to Make it in Manila

What a thing I did for this one. I'm not really proud of it, to be honest. I emailed every National Bookstore and Fullybooked branches within my reach. I kept on walking towards three malls near my workplace during every lunchtime(for 2 weeks) to check if they have copies available. I was desperate. It's not funny. Not funny at all.
I first heard of BJ Pascual when I was in college. I became invested in taking photos when my dad bought me the Canon G9. Browsing local magazines at a bookstore beside my school for inspiration was a daily thing for me. And during that time, I always see his name and his photos in most publications that I check out. He's that one person, I believe, that people will think of as a person who takes amazing muse portraits.
I'm not going to deny it, the actual motivation for me to search high and low for this photo book is Nadine Lustre. The first week it came out, everyone was alert and fast. Leaving no trace of that one with the girl wearing fur on the cover. I decided to look up branches of bookstores that I could go to. And all they could tell me is "Sorry maam, we're already sold out.". I had no choice but to leave my details for them to contact me if ever there are new copies.
Push is not your ordinary influencer project that just came out of nowhere. It's not just about his famous portraits. He is more than just his photos, and it shows. The book shows you the road map from his inspiring, humble beginnings to what made him the BJ Pascual that he is today.
"In this book, photographer BJ Pascual puts together a road map for young creatives, tracing his journey from his childhood in Cavite to his career as a high flying fashion photographer. Push looks back on his highs and lows, rounds up his heroes and muses - Kathryn Bernardo, Liza Soberano, Julia Baretto, Nadine Lustre among them - to tell the story of the 27-year-old who's taking fashion by storm. " (Text within the paragraph was taken directly from the back of the photobook)
What more can I say about the one and only, Nadine Lustre? GORGEOUS. I wanted to say the cliche "that is all" phrase, but c'mon. The girl is just slayin' each and every time. The list of words that could describe her just gets longer and longer, that you've reached the point where there are no words needed. It's Nadine. Just Nadine. And that is kind of a good Nadine. Epic kind of Nadine. (hides myself because I have no idea what I'm trying to convey at this point, I'm just lost.)
