September 30, 2015

It's that time again where I talk about things I loved,
and what mattered to me the most this past month.
Before this post turns into a JaDine/On The Wings of Love clusterf*ck,
let me start this favorites with a good light.
This could also be my laziest favorites ever, so...

Star Wars – Kylo Ren and Stormtrooper Action Figures

I got these two bad boys last Force Friday(September 4). I just had to have them, you know?

Instagram

Yes, I’m back. After an endless struggle with cleaning out my whole feed. All is good again. And let’s be honest, you all know that I only re-activated my account to look at the #JaDine tag. /hides

Top Shop Slip-Ons

To tell you the truth, I hated it. I hated the fact that I spent more than a thousand pesos on slip-ons. It’s just not me. I hated the fact that Nadine Lustre’s Leah kept on wearing it, that I felt the need to buy it anyway. I know I’m reserving everything JaDine at the end of this post, I’m sorry.

Days passed, the slip ons were actually not bad. It goes well with everything that I have. And since I’ve been wearing it for quite some time now, I got used to it. Basically, what I wanted to say all along is that it’s nice.

Luscious and Lovely Tea Mug

A mug that states what I want in a Tea. Yes, please.

Wild EP - Troye Sivan

I hated his Happy Pill track. So I never really bothered doing a double take on Troye. Came one day where Taylor Swift tweeted about his new EP, and I got curious. So here we are. Even though I listened to WILD for like, forever. My favorite track out of the whole EP is the song FOOLS

BADLANDS – Halsey

Blame Nadine Lustre.

EMOTION Album – Carly Rae Jepsen

Yes, I am a late bloomer on this one. I actually have it in my ipod since its release. But it always tends to feel like the songs just pass me by. Thank goodness for that one afternoon, that I was able to fully focus on listening to the songs. And yes, I liked it. Run Away With Me, EMOTION, Favorite Color, and Your Type are my most listened tracks. But the album as a whole is good.

Cut To Black – Lemaitre

Blame James Reid.

What Do You Mean (Acoustic) – Justin Bieber

Because acoustic Justin Bieber is the only Justin Bieber I listen to.

The Red - Red Velvet

Yes, I still do listen to KPOP. I’m not really into Red Velvet songs, for I find their unnecessary rap bits annoying. But Dumb Dumb is a very catchy song. I still hate the forced rap parts, still.

Ordinary Love - Kyung feat. Park Boram

I’m such a sucker for KPOP collaborations. So yes, this is in this post.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

Since I saw the CNN feature for this film, I swore to watch it once it comes out in theaters. Heneral Luna happened, and I had to choose BAYAN over Sarili. I wasn’t able to watch it in a legit cinema as well. Which was a bit of a downer. Instead, it was at my room, on my laptop with headphones on, at 2AM in the morning.

Nowadays, I get really picky with the films I spend my time with. But that’s not the case with Me, and Earl, and the Dying Girl. The first 2 seconds got me excited. It felt like a ride. Like a wild roller coaster ride. From how it was shot, to the flow of the story. It was one of those films that someone would say, changed his life. It’s that good.

COSMO February 2015 Issue – JaDine

It’s just one of those magazines that I felt the need to get my hands on. And I was happy to get one still! Attention Philippine Magazine scene, you need more JaDine. We need more JaDine.

Tonette Jadaone Interview – PEP

A must read. I love Direk Tonnette. I love JaDine. I love Direk Tonnette talking about JaDine and their kissing scenes. What more do you want?

Team JaDine – Irish Dizon Article

Credit to The Philippine Star - Supreme

I love this piece so much. This could probably be my favorite JaDine piece to date. It's not forceful of  what could be. It's straight to the point. And that's why it's so good.

Bonfire Love Song – James Reid

The song I hated at that time when I was first starting out with this whole JaDine thing. And here we are now. Blame the Team JaDine article for making me dig my files for this song once more. The next thing I know, it made a place for itself on my shower playlist. Dang.

Babalik – James Reid

My all time favorite James Reid song. Though I have Huwag Ka Nang Humirit as my most played. Babalik has this little special corner in my heart. And yours should as well.

Paligoy-Ligoy – Nadine Lustre

Music wise, I’m undeniably biased with James. But this is just so cute to pass up. I first heard this song on their show #JaDine. And you all know what followed - SHOWER PLAYLIST, of course.

JaDine Showtime Kapamilya Day Performance

SCREAAAAAAAAAMS!
SCREAAAAAAAAAMS SOME MORE!
AND FOR THE LAST TIME SCREAAAAAAAAAMS AGAIN!

I was waiting for the Ambeth Ocampo lecture to start when this whole thing happened. And you know what I did? I freakin’ livestreamed it. Because I can. The intensity of chemistry of this love team, seriously. I have no words. No words at all.

Wallpaper

I seriously loved that moment where he staged the whole getting-close-to-you-and-will-use-your-mic-instead move, that I felt the need to have it as my September wallpaper.

OTWOL Stills

Pretty things. You will see pretty, pretty, OTWOL/JaDine related things. This twitter does not only post captions, it posts captions with a heart. Edits that will make you feel things, the good, deep things. And like I said, everything is pretty.

FckYeahKimChiu Twitter

She's actually one of the reasons why I watched On The Wings of Love in the first place. Have you seen her blog? She knows what scenes to capture, as well what words to say. And I loved that.

As I started following her on twitter, having a twitter party each and every OTWOL day is not bad after all. She tweets the cutest things, with wit and a dose of fun. So if you need someone to pick you up in a dull working day, just go directly to her twitter, and I swear you'll smile, She doesn't just deliver the fun though, her views on the show is not just for the sake of viewing it. She studies and expresses it. And we need more of that. We need more shows that generate that kind of thinking, and people who does the, for some who are at loss.

OTWOL – Official Scrapbook

I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed this scrapbook. Like seriously. And I know it's not just me for a thousand others liked it too, for it's now on its second printing! You can read more about it on my post here.

Most Kilig Night teaser

I died. I literally died. This teaser is too precious to even grace Philippine television.

Most Approved Kiss Outtake

I have no shame, so I'll say this once and for all: ANGLUTONG NG LABI NI JAMES REID.

On The Wings of Love: Resistance: Bonfire Scene

Guhhh.

Let me try that again. Guhhhhhhhhhh.

This scene, I must say... is one of the best scenes in OTWOL, In my opinion, anyway. There is something about talking about the future with a special person that really gets to me. And this scene nailed it. Not to mention the tension that was building up between Clark and Leah. That moment when she said "Tapos hindi ko kakayanin." was just guhhhhhhh. Intense yet so innocent. There is so much more to this show than just being a show. It's that different. And I love it.

P.S.
It actually took me a long time to finish this post.
I was so unsure of it. I kept on re-writing it, each and every time I get the chance.
So I feel like it's a bit wishy-washy all through out.
And I apologize for that.
