SEVENTEEN (세븐틴): Diamond Edge in Manila
Wednesday, November 01, 2017It's been a year or two since my last K-POP concert. And yes, I do believe that I have matured gracefully in the fangirling department (Less obsession, cursing, and pettiness to more maturity, does-not-give-a-damn and does-not-even-spam-on-social-media-that-much-unless-needed-to... sort of). And yet here I was on the eve of my 25th birthday watching a KPOP concert... mature indeed.
Given the somewhat strict rules and guidelines, not to mention the long wait outside the arena minutes before showtime, fortunately in the end - I had fun, the genuine kind.
As for our seats, it was not that bad. I was preparing for the worst - due to the fact that my bank kind of fucked up whilst I was trying to get the best seats possible. With the seats we were able to get, it was fortunately alright - better than expected.A satisfactory first concert type of seat if you will, as it was too near yet somehow not really. At most times it feels as if we got backstage seats and we are watching the whole thing from the sidelines. Which in turn made me feel kind of sad as cameras are not allowed - I could've had some decent shots.
My favorite stage, as expected is: HIPHOP TEAM's. Their live performance of the song "Check In" to be exact. That song is my jam since like maybe forever, and to experience it in a concert setting is just surreal and fulfilling all at the same time. I still can't believe I was a part of that moment in time.
Lastly, I put out a little video blog from bits of footage I was able to keep with me. Which you can watch here:
Every song, every performance I found myself singing and dancing along (even if they're not technically my main group, I adore them still). And I certainly can't wait to go to one of their concerts in the near future!
