July 30, 2016

*WARNING*

IMAGE HEAVY POST AHEAD!

They did it. True to their words - they came back. Better than ever.

A lot had changed since The Red Bullet Manila. I became such a bad fan - missing a few events here, and there. Life happened so much, I was honestly still to this day surprised I was able to get myself along with my sister, and friend Geiya decent seats for the show. And that was another different story altogether.

But one thing is for certain - these boys still know how to turn things up wherever they may be. And that makes my inner A.R.M.Y heart proud.

The concert is by far one of the earliest I've been in - it promptly started at 6:00PM. Which was I guess, a good thing - given the traffic and safety precautions.

I would like to warn everyone reading this, this is a very SEOKJIN biased blog post. Which also meant most of the photos I shot are mostly of him(and of Jimin). And I'm not sorry for that. I did try to of course, take photos of all of them. And I hope I did not fail all of you.

One thing I'll apologize for is that I wasn't able to take any decent shots of J-HOPE. He is either always far from our area, or just being his usual self that most of his photos resulted to blur action shots.

Unlike most of my concert/event blog posts, I'm not going to dig deep into everything that happened, or even do like a mini-report of each song in the set list, for this blog post might go on forever.

So don't worry, I won't be hurt if you just skip the text and just look at the photos. I don't blame you at all.

I mean, nothing more needs to be said. From start to finish everything was just breathtaking. The stage set-up was perfect. The audience was also amazing - singing along to every song there is. And just look at that beautiful silver ocean that looked like twinkling stars if you think about it.

One of the difficulties I've had during the concert is the fact that Seokjin and Yoongi had almost the identical hair color. It's not also helping that they're like always together in every segment, that I tend to get confused.

But all is good, for with confusion comes some of my favorite shots from the night:

Yoongi's stance, as a man and an artist is just surreal. His aura is just indescribable, and I just can't help but to be blown away.

CYPHER Part 3 or any CYPHER for that matter will always be one of my favorite segments of any Bangtan concert there is. Everyone was standing up, jumping along and just taking it all in. AMAZING!

Then the boys changed into their handsome black outfits, which was so hard to look at. They're all too good looking in them. I don't have any words to be able to express what I feel anymore... this recap is hard.

And don't get me started on Seokjin...

I am one of those weird people who went ballistic when he went blonde. To the point that I went on a Seokjin-blackout. I really hate it when people bleach their hair in general. And in this concert, Seokjin proved me wrong once again. Just look at him... /cries a river

I'm really thankful that they sang The Rise of Bangtan! One of my all time favorite Bangtan songs to this date.

They've been smiling and laughing since the beginning, it was so precious.

And well, Jimin and Seokjin took my breath away. I don't know how I survived.

The boys singing Epilogue: Young Forever was sensational.

As they walked to the extended stage to say their final messages after singing the song MISS RIGHT, JHOPE noticed the encore project planned for them where the Upper Box and Lower Box seat occupants formed "I LOVE YOU" and "THANK YOU" in korean using cards. The look in their eyes, out of surprise is one of the things I'll forever remember. It's the most genuine thing ever.

And of course, it's time to say goodbye...

They've been running around all over the place. Throwing signed balls. Being all cute and precious. Spewing tagalog phrases like "MAHAL KO KAYO ARMYs"!

Namjoon being the cutest thing.

Seokjin happy to score a Bangtan Bomb Plushie.

95-Line looking unreal.

Yoongi looking surreal.

Jungkook playing with his bunny plushie.

And of course, Seokjin emphasizing how handsome he is.

Also, FINALLY! I was able to get my goal shot for the night - Seokjin's back side!

I have nothing but great words for this whole experience. To be able to spend it with a friend and family, it was such a great penultimate for a month where I was dreading emotionally. I needed this, and I am glad to be a part of this.

BTS, thank you! And never change.
See you this coming 2017!

  3. Hi :) I just want to ask something. What camera did you use for this? Did you use dslr and is it allowed on the venue of the concert? Sorry for asking, I just want to know because you're shots are so good ☺

    1. Hello Allona!

Sorry for the late reply, the camera I used is a Canon EOS 60D - I have a 50mm, 18-50mm, and 70-300mm lens to go with it. I had it in my bag, and the guards don't seem to mind. I was in a seated section. So the restrictions depends on where you are in the concert. Thank you!
