November 7, 2015

Blame it all on me for underestimating "THE INFINITE EFFECT".

I have taken the precaution to put hidden watermarks on my photos.
All photographs on this blog were taken by me
(unless otherwise stated),
please don't pinch them without asking and crediting to my blog.

Contrary to how I was 2 years ago, my pre-concert activities were somewhat chill. To the point that I even had my nails done. As gates opened and long lines started to disappear outside MOA Arena. We entered the venue and settled in our seats.

Yes, you read that right, seats. I'm not that STANDING CONCERT PIT girl anymore. I've matured.

A dozen of INFINITE music videos later, the lights finally fade to black. Screams can be heard in every corner, some even tearing up. As the arena gets filled with a sea of GOLD lights, the boys' silhouettes appeared.

This night's going to be memorable, and you know it.

The boys opened with BTD (Before The Dawn). Everyone's heartbeat surely took it up a notch, one by one. And I'm not even kidding, I've seen the boys twice, and it's unfair how they still have this effect on you. (INFNITE EFFECT. Lame, I know)

After Paradise and Be Mine, I had to double take, because something is quite not right. Then I realized - Hoya, due to an injury, was at the corner of the stage, seated. Whilst singing along with the boys. Which gave me all the feels, to be quite honest. He seemed to look like he wants to bust the moves as well, but just can't... for now.

The boys introduced themselves in Tagalog. Hoya's BOOM PANES chant was definitely one for the books. Not to mention L, or whom I prefer to call Myungsoo, uttered the words "AKO ANG INYONG BOYFRIEND(I'm your boyfriend./I'm everyone's Boyfriend.)" without cringing. Oh Myungsoo, you precious human being.

And lastly as one puts it, Lee Sungyeol. You were my destiny once again, during that night(Just for that night of November 7th, I swear. Seokjin, if you are reading this. It's just this one night.).

So dear reader, if you are reading this entry... apart from looking at the photos, I have to confess. I tried so hard for this entry to not be Sungyeol-centric. I TRIED, I SWEAR. I can't help it. Watching seven boys all at once is kind of hard if you're in a concert setting. You feel me?

Just look at this guy. Looking all sharp and dapper, then being all out cute and precious the next. That is just not right, am I right?!

During their talk, Woohyun kept asking the fans what song they should sing next. And as expected, the answer was mixed and did not end well. That he just decided for himself to sing Love Letter. Well, thank you for asking then, sir.

Woohyun performed "Everyday", which he emphasized on the fact he wrote that song. And hints not only to us, but even to his company watching over to give him the chance to put out his solo album. Woollim, please give this boy a chance.

INFINITE H followed suit with "Sorry, I'm Busy" and "Pretty" which got everyone pumped up. Even sang along with the boys.

Despite his condition, you could seriously see how Hoya was trying so hard to give everyone the show they deserve from him. And that was really touching.

Not to mention how strikingly attractive he is despite being injured. And with that, I present to you an obligatory ARE-YOU-REALLY-SURE-THIS-GUY-IS-INJURED-BECAUSE-LOOK-HE-IS-GUHH Hoya photos (And a shout out to Joanna Marie as well, I shot these for you.):

Sunggyu's "KONTROL" performance definitely is one of favorite stages from that night. With it being a personal favorite of mine, witnessing Sunggyu perform live is an amazing experience, no joke. You could just feel his passion for performing. Not only to please his fans, but for his love of performing as well. And all you could say in the end is, WOW.

He was just in the stage area the whole time, in his little world. You can call it for the love of art, or anti-social. That’s Kim Sunggyu for you.

Putting a sweet end to the special stage segment is the boys of INFNITE F, performing "Heartbeat" and "My Girl". Which I, of course- loved. There came a point where my sister had to hold me, for I was kind of out of it. But all is good, I am good. I'm fine.

Blame it all to this guy here:

Like... HOW?! Even his back looks too good to be true. I was this close to jumping to the stage and give him a deserving back hug. /runs away because I just cannot with everything anymore! NO! NO! NO!

They showed the Original Version of the Last Romeo MV. Which got everyone shocked, and somewhat teary eyed. Including me. (I blame you and your face Kim Myungsoo. Don’t ever sit in a room where water will enter ever again!)

After that, I just totally lost it.

The boys sang JULIA out of the blue. I came to the concert prepared. I read the setlist. And Julia was not there. It was an unexpected twist!

I love JULIA too much for my own good, I don't even know if I deserve to witness them sing this song live. But I did. And well, I'm still alive (Thank goodness.)

Dongwoo started bouncing up and down whilst sitting, and Sungyeol imitated him. Resulting the stage lift to shake. It made the boys laugh. And no, the cute antics did not stop there. Sunggyu kept on making all these cute gestures whilst keeping close to Sungyeol. Woohyun on the other hand, kept on making Myungsoo use his mic whilst singing, even putting his arm around him. Then the two gave up on the boys and sing amongst themselves, smiling and being precious.

After "Nothing's Over" the showered the MOA AREAN with whole lot of fanservice.

The boys walked towards the extended stage. They cutely huddled in one corner and pointed at something. It was so adorable and childish, I shamelessly screamed out loud. But of course someone’s going to be the uncooperative one, L walks to our side and leave his hyungs be.

It sure is different when you see L turn into the Myungsoo that he is. To see him change from a trying to be mysterious being to a baby boy vying for your attention, unbelievable. He kept on smirking to show off his dimples. Even looking directly to each and everyone's eyes, because he knows what he can do. It's mental.

Let's be honest though, my attention belongs to one man, and one man alone. *cough cough*

Allow me to reiterate the fact that he looked so unbelievably handsome that night, it was not healthy for me and the people around me. Even my sister said so, and the lady is hopelessly in love with Sunggyu. So that alone meant Sungyeol is not good. No. Just NO!

There was this moment where Sungyeol noticed one fan pleading him to do a selca with her instax camera, and he was trying to reach it with his long arms, but failed miserably. He tried getting the stage marshall’s help, but also failed.

So the fan decided to throw her instax, which gave me and Sungyeol(YES. TOGETHER.) a mini heart attack. Good thing the man has good reflex. He proceeded to take a well-deserved selca, and passed the instax to the stage marshall.

Dongwoo, being the precious cupcake that he is. Was dancing all over the place.

As he arrived to our area, I guess there was this fan who was holding up as sign. He was trying to read it while dancing, multitasking at its finest. But he can’t seem to actually read it properly that he had to stop, and said okay to the fan holding up the sign. And started dancing away once again. It was so funny.

As the confetti appeared, it felt like the concert is nearing its end. And Cover Girl suddenly played, everyone the energy went up even higher, and it was pure chaos. The boys were bouncing and laughing at each other. Everyone was all smiles, and everyone was dancing. It's a festivity too precious to be true, you’ll forget you’re in a concert.

I love these shots of Woohyun and Sunggyu for it showed the on-stage characters of the two. Sunggyu the serious and passionate one. Whilst we have Woohyun being the playful and lively one. Woohyun was so out of it, that Sunggyu gave up and just smiled.

Like what I have said earlier in this post, Sunggyu is the strongest performer amongst the boys that night. I have watched a lot of K-POP concerts live, and never have I ever seen such seriousness and passion rolled into one individual. And I respect him for that.

Let us not forget that he can be cute as a button too. A fan was attempting to throw her phone towards Sunggyu. And Sunggyu kept telling her to not do that. But the fan did. Amused, all he could do was give her shy smile. And gave her back her phone.

As they performed Bad. I got so mindblown. I never really liked this song. And seeing it being performed live felt like a cold bucket of water being thrown right at my face.

The intensity of the song, it’s so striking. Why didn’t I realize that it was that intense before?

Everyone in the arena chanted “Dashi Dorawa, Dorawa!(다시 돌아와/Come back to me.)” As it was time for the ENCORE.

The boys appeared donning sharp looking dark blue outfits. And all I could do is hold on to my dear life, and hope I could make it through.

During their last talk, and also the last chance of boys’ sloppy translator to prove herself. Which she clearly failed to do so. You had one job, woman. I translated everything to my sister and my seatmates what the boys said accurately and without fail. WHY CAN'T YOU?! For someone given the responsibility to translate for a concert of this level, you did a lazy job of getting the boys messages across. I hope they didn't pay you in full. For you did not deserve that pay at all. End of rant.

The boys expressed how grateful they are to the Inspirits, that even though it has been 2 years since their last visit. The overwhelming support and love is still felt with intensity. And they are beyond thankful for that.

Like their last concert, it was that time again for Dongwoo’s birthday. He cried during the last surprise. Everyone raised their green heart cutouts. Dongwoo, being a bundle of joy as always, thanked everyone for their efforts, accidentally throwing away the green neck pillow he was holding. He cutely told off the fans who caught his neck pillow that it was his, and asked for it back.

One of the most memorable highlights would probably be the boys resulting to talking in tagalog. For they were fed up with their translator as well. Might as well use the phrases they learned, right?

Sungyeol being his cute self, joked that tonight “HINDI AKO UUWI NGAYON.(I’m not coming home tonight)

After his expressing the fact that he will never forget this night, Woohyun slyly shouted “MERONG FOREVER(forever exists) and the crowd went wild. Of course, I did as well. Look what you have done, JaDine. Even grown-ass K-POP boys use your signature catch phrase.

Myungsoo warned everyone “HUWAG NINYONG KALIMUTAN AKO ANG INYONG BOYFRIEND.(Don’t ever forget that I’m your boyfriend) Then whispers a soft. “MERONG FOREVER”. As expected, made everyone scream.

Hoya made everyone melt as he expressed his thoughts in tagalog. “MARAMING UMIIYAK PAG LAMALABAS KAMI. HUWAG KAYO UMIYAK. BABALIK KAMI. WE PROMISE. PARATI KAYONG MASAYA AT MALUSOG. (Many of you cry whenever we leave, don’t. We will come back. We promise. Stay happy and healthy.) Thank you, Hoya!

After their ment, there was this little silent moment where the boys took a moment and just let everything sink in. That it really is goodbye, for now.

The boys sang TOGETHER as their last song of the night.

Never forgetting to show their gratitude, the boys walked towards the extended stage to do their well-known 90-Degree bow. As well as bidding their goodbye to everyone by waving and throwing hearts.

Woohyun made sure we have enough of his hearts to fill us up til our next meeting. (Marriel, this is for you! hihi)

Myungsoo made sure that we never forget him as our boyfriend. And yes, his dimples.

And Hoya, though he may be hurting, still gave us one of the best performances that night. You've worked hard, Hermano.

The whole night brought back the reasons why INFINITE is one of the groups I genuinely love and still support. Apart from their well known synchronization and outstanding showmanship. The boys never fail to make every INSPIRIT experience the word FOREVER. Forgive me, for I'm gonna quote James Reid in this bit: "Forever never starts. It never ends. You're always in forever."

And INFINITE gave us that kind of forever.

INFINITE... boys, thank you for one heck of a night. See you soon!
