MONSTA X (몬스타엑스): 「Beautiful」Japanese Version, Limited Edition Type B

I am never really a fan of Japanese releases in KPOP, and I do believe that I'll never be. But then... this happened.

But before we get to the good part, let me just... appreciate the fact that I got this a day after the release... on my freakin' doorstep.

Yes, that's right, I got it without the customs messin' with mah goods.

Thank you customs, for once. /whispers/ look at that pretty, pretty, pretty stamp that says PASSED. /whispers/

I got it well wrapped and protected, because duh! it's from CDJapan (my most trusted shop when it comes to anything Japanese since 2009 *wink wink* - oooh! I also got my BTS Wake Up release from them too! Check that post out here.)

Just look at the pretty thing. So pretty.

I swear I screamed a did a little happy dance - because I just love it so freakin' much! I didn't even bother to open it at first. i(Like my sister had to casually open it for me since you know, I'm weird like that.)

A little side story, when the version types for this single were announced - I wasn't really interested at all - like I said, I never am a fan of Japanese releases. BUT! They came up with an LP cover version - which pretty much got me a little curious. So yeah, I pre-ordered it without even knowing what that cover would look like. (Wise, I know - but it thankfully is really pretty - it came with my one of my favorite photos from the boys!!!)

Given that I'm still a new fan to Monsta X, I don't want to go overboard just yet - and since I do believe practicality is the key when it comes being a fan (and the fact that I am a sucker for anything that comes in a great packaging).

I got me-self the Limited Edition Type B of their Beautiful Japanese Single release which comes in this BEAUTIFUL vinyl-sized cover artwork - which is the major factor as to why I even bothered to buy this one.

It comes with a CD that includes two songs, Beautiful and Ready or Not both in Japanese versions. A meet and greet event ticket which is only valid in Japan. To my surprise, a folded poster - slash - booklet. I also got a huge postcard as a First Press gift. (You can see more of the goodies in my video here)

I honestly find Japanese translated songs of an already existing Korean song a bit lazy and just cringe-y almost. So I don't usually listen to any JP stuff unless it's an actual JP release apart from their Korean singles.

Fortunately, for BEAUTIFUL - the single actually good, better than the Korean one even. Like to the point that I listen to it more than its original version (maybe because of the fact that I can understand it more than the Korean one - proud Japanese language major, here!)

Not to mention, the music video is freakin' pretty and awesome. I'm just... /screeeams!/

The only downside in this version (for me) is the fact that it comes with a CD rather than a vinyl. I feel that it's kind of a waste of space given that you have one big ass album cover.

And don't get me started with the plastic cover it comes with, it's a nightmare. Currently, it has a little hole. I'm seriously not happy with that part. I don't see using that as a cover in a long run. Will probably have to hunt for a vinyl cover protector somewhere, I guess.

Despite my little complaints - overall, I LOVE IT. I'm happy that I got it, thankful even. It's actually better than I expected it to be, it even came with little extra stuff which was a delight.

Given all that, I would recommend you to get it, if you're a fan! It's too pretty to not have, let's be honest.

And since I'm obviously obsessed with it - do check out the video I made for it down below (yes, I do stuff like these now because 1. I'm bored.) and let me know what you think!
